GO Blue and Go Obama!!!

I'm excited about joining the Yardbarker community. I can't believe it but this is my 15th season in the NBA and I have been welcomed back to the Denver Nuggets. We have a great group of guys and I'm looking forward to our first regular season game tomorrow against the Utah Jazz. I want to encourage the Yardbarker audience and my fellow NBA players to GET OUT AND VOTE on November 4th. This election, I am casting a vote for my fellow Chicagoan Senator Barack Obama! I am from Chicago and continue to train each summer at Tim Grover's gym (ATTACK Athletics). I've been watching Obama for a long time and I remember his work to help people on the south side of Chicago. That's where I grew up. I also remember when he inspired the country with his speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention and again in Denver in 2008. He has the leadership, judgment and integrity to guide our country. In addition to his skills as a visionary leader, Senator Obama will be the first U.S. President to bring a decent jump shot to the White House. I also want to reach out to my friends at the University of Michigan. Keep the faith. I think Coach Rodriguez is going to get our football program back on top. And, don't forget our basketball team. Just gotta make it happen. GO BLUE and OBAMA!! Juwan

Hey Juwan, It's refreshing to see a professional athlete take a political stand. Most guys just stand on the sidelines worried they'll alienate potential sponsors. Not only do I respect your willingness to put yourself out there, I agree with your position. Best of luck this season.

Here is throwback for you man, in chicago way back in 03 you were the first nba player I ever met in the streets. I am sure you remember this night. It was for Jalen roses celebrity comedy show. Yea man that long ago lol.

dewey. I just looked up the record books and couldnt find any mention of the fab five....apparently, the records were vacated...

  Fortunately my memory bank isn't tied into the record books. The Fab Five was one of my favorite college teams ever, right up there with the 1986-87 Syracuse Orange and the 2005-2006 Villanova Wildcats.

I don't agree with mixing political talk with sports and nothing against you Juwan, but who the hell is Obama anyway? McCain will keep our military strong, Obama will weaken it and in turn weaken America. If our military does'nt stay strong we are ALL screwed.

Juwan, It is good to see you still playing. I am one of the Fab Five's biggest fan ever! Also a huge fan of yours after you showed class and stayed at U of M when the rest were gone. I saw 6 games with you playing at Michigan. Damn you were so awesome and still are! Thanks so much for all the awesome memories in Ann Arbor Juwan. Good luck to you and we'll see you in Springfield.
