Brooks Koepka claims fourth LIV Golf title following triumph in Singapore ahead of PGA Championship defense

After the win, Koepka expressed confidence in his gameplay. The five-time major champion claimed things are starting to “come around” for him.

Yeah. It's all starting to come around. I've put in a lot of work. I feel like on the golf course, off the golf course. It's been a good two weeks, to say the least. I took a week off and then grinded pretty hard with Claude over the last few days. I thought that was very important...To see it pay off here is huge. Brooks Koepka said as per LIV Golf.

This victory comes at a huge time for Koepka. After stumbling up at the 2023 Masters and blowing a four-shot lead, Koepka emerged victorious at Oak Hill and claimed the PGA Championship in May last year. He thus became the first LIV Golf star to win a PGA Tour event. With his title defense right around the corner, he has gained some much needed momentum heading into the tournament.

Cameron Smith leads Rippers GC to back-to-back team championship at LIV Golf Singapore

Despite the victory of Brooks Koepka and Talor Gooch‘s T4 finish, Smash GC did not even finish in the top three for the team championship title. They finished four strokes behind Rippers GC, who went back-to-back at LIV Golf to claim their second team title of the 2024 season.

The Cameron Smith lead side had emerged as the winners of LIV Golf Adelaide last week. The full-Aussie team knocked off the Stingers GC in a first ever team championship playoff to claim their first title of the season. This time, they were the clear winners and didn’t need any playoff hole to settle the contest.

Smith and Marc Leishmann, both finished 13-under and claimed a T2 finish to end the tournament two strokes behind Koepka. Smith would later express his desire to make it three in a row in the next event.

I’m very proud of them. I knew that we had it in is and it was just a matter of time. Probably a few lazy boys over Christmas, to be honest, and it took us a little bit to get going. But this is how we expect to play and this is how we want to keep playing. We’ll try and make it three in Houston. Cameron Smith said as per LIV Golf.

LIV Golf will now take a break as few members of them travel to Valhalla for the second major championship of the year. The breakaway tour will then fly to USA to compete in LIV Golf Houston and LIV Golf Nashville before heading to Spain for LIV Golf Andalucia in July.
